Where is My Bookkeeper and How Do I Find Her?

Your bookkeeper is waiting for you.  As a business owner we wear many hats and some of those hats are not in our area of expertise.  That’s why I wanted to talk to you today about finding your bookkeeper.

You love the work that you do, but you are not a numbers person.  It may seem counter-intuitive to spend money on a bookkeeper when you are totally capable of doing it yourself.  If you exchanged the time it takes you to do your own bookkeeping and actually engage with your customers, I think you would cover the cost of hiring a bookkeeper.

Where Is My Bookkeeper and How Do I Find Her?

Ask yourself this question, do I like doing my bookkeeping?  If the answer is NO, then you should consider outsourcing that task.  If the answer is YES, but you haven’t updated your financials in 3 or 4 months, then you need to consider outsourcing your bookkeeping. Welcome to 2018!  We all made it to the new year.  Yay for us!  Now what?  Have you set your 2018 goal?  So, what was the result?  Do you have your plans in place for 2018?

I am naturally a planner.  I like to make lists for everything.  I wanted to find a more cohesive way to help me plan for 2018.  It was important to me to  combine my personal life and my business life into my planning strategy for the new year.  After all, I’m just one person with several areas of focus.  In my pursuit to find a planning tool for the new year, I searched and reviewed many planning strategies.  Just in case you didn’t know, I am a YouTube-aholic.  That’s probably not a word, but that’s me.  I finally found the goal tracking planner for me!  It’s call PowerSheet by Cultivate What Matters.

Preparing for Year End

This week, I am headed to San Jose, California to attend the annual QuickBooks conference. I am preparing to learn new skills that I can share with you in the coming months. I attended this conference last year and it has made a tremendous difference in my business in 2017.
