Passion

We are passionate about seeing women (and men) use their own passion and skills to succeed. We believe everyone should do what they love.

Evan Asher, Accounting Supervisor

Evan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 2012 and has been on a mission to increase financial literacy in his community ever since. He loves being able to bring his knowledge and skill set together to assist others who don’t have the same interest or access to the information. Evan enjoys developing interpersonal relationships with his clients at Mitchell Consulting and working directly with them to take their passions and turn then into viable career opportunities by building and maintaining solid financial systems and developing financial literacy.

Outside of his work for MCS, Evan is heavily involved in his community’s local art scene and he works for a local non-profit that addresses diaper needs in the area. He feels that bringing a background of finance to both of these worlds is rewarding and enjoys helping create opportunities for folks he meets along the way.

Lauryn King Darden, Business Advisor

Lauryn has over a decade of accounting and auditing experience. Lauryn earned her MBA from Hampton University, and sharpened her expertise and skills at a top accounting firm before transitioning to a Real Estate Investment Trust. After recognizing her passion for helping others and the danger financial illiteracy has imposed on her community, she began serving local nonprofits and political campaigns with their treasury needs. To Lauryn, a positive impact on the economy and financial literacy in her community starts with foundational small business owners and she’s determined to use her skills for the benefit of those around her.

Lauryn’s expertise lies in managing accounting systems, improving financial and organizational structures, accurately assessing profitability, among other things. Lauryn is thoughtful, innovative, and strategic; she uses these qualities to provide simple solutions tailored to your individual needs.

Eric Blocksidge, Accountant

After receiving his MBA in 2013 from NYIT, Eric began to grow his accounting experience in a variety of roles. His experience ranges from the billing department to corporate finance in a multi-billion company and just about everything in between. He’s really excited to be a part of Mitchell Consulting and to be able to lend his knowledge and expertise to help growing businesses thrive.

And just to throw in a few fun facts! Outside of accounting, you may have recognized Eric singing in an insurance commercial. Eric lived in Paris for a few years, so if you want to brush up on your French, he’s your man. Eric is a big fan of trivia, and is hoping to compete on Jeopardy eventually. Last but not least, being from New York, Eric has very strong opinions about New York having the best pizza in the world.

Ti'Ana London, Marketing Specialist

Ti’Ana graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies in 2019. As a student, Ti’Ana sharpened her skills as a communicator and later joined a health technology company. It was while at this company she discovered her true passion for supporting and connecting people by simply improving communication.

She wholeheartedly believes that clear communication is the key to great execution. Ti’Ana has the true heart of a servant, and that, paired with her attention to detail and go-getter attitude, helps her keep the backend of MCS working smoothly.
